In some ways, it may seem odd that a Jewish community has a “Religious Life” Committee. After all, isn’t everything a synagogue does part of its “religious life”? To answer that question, we need only look at our Mission Statement – Building Sacred Community with the Tools of Jewish Tradition. The Religious Life Committee strives to instill holiness in all aspects of congregational life.
Working with our Rabbi and other committees such as Synaplex, Adult Education and the Religious School, the Religious Life Committee focuses on how religious observance can be relevant in the lives of our congregants, as well as exploring various ways to provide a spiritually fulfilling worship experience for our members. In addition, we arrange for regular worship services, holiday services and observances, and other programs. We also address questions regarding ritual and halacha (Jewish law) that may arise.
In this part of the website, you will find resources about Shabbat services, Shabbat observance, Holiday observances and more!
We would love to have you join our committee! Please contact us for more information.
