Tot Shabbat & Family Service

Our Tot Shabbat and Family Services are held on the second Friday evening of each month from September through June.

The Tot Shabbat service is led by our Preschool Directors, Gail DeMarco and Rohna Paskow, and meets in the Social Hall.  Each Tot Shabbat service focuses on a theme, and includes music and a puppet show.  This service is geared towards families with children up to age 5. Tot Shabbat is a wonderful way for families and friends to join together for Shabbat in an informal, upbeat and meaningful way. Tot Shabbat combines prayer, learning and Jewish ritual in a joyous celebration, and both children and adults participate. Grandparents, friends and other family members are invited to celebrate Shabbat with us as well!

This year we are offering a monthly family service geared toward families with children in 1st through 6th grade. The service, led by a rabbinical student, is infused with the joy of spending Shabbat with family and community. We have plays, new songs, and encourage participation and fun!  This Family Service is KI's Erev Shabbat Service on that evening for the entire congregation.

The two groups come together for an optional family friendly dinner after the services are over.  Please sign up ahead of time in our office for dinner. There is a minimal charge.
